This new book by Marian Stubenitsky, author of Weaving with Echo, is about weaving with only one tie shaft.
The principle was discovered by Marian in 2001, and later put to use in twill and basketweave weaving, giving the possibility of more patterns, even on relatively few shafts. Other weaving structures are also presented using 4, 8 and up to 32 shafts, offering addition possibilities such as huck, putting seven structures in one weaving, moiré-type effects, deflected double weave and related structures.
The method is well described and each structure is explained with drawdowns and photo’s.
The book is beautifully designed in full color with a hardcover binding and has approximately 200 pages. It is published in two languages, Dutch and English.
This is a book that is well worth having in your weaving library and a great resource for learning.
