Welcome to our yarn and fiber shop in Paige, Texas!

We are a full-service yarn and fiber shop with a focus on local, eco-friendly and uniquely handpainted and/or handspun yarns and fibers.

We carry a large and varied selection of yarns for knitting, crochet and weaving, along with probably the largest selection of spinning and felting fibers in Texas! In addition to carrying yarns in skeins and hanks, we offer a nice selection of coned yarns and threads from cottons and linens to wool/silk blends.

Check out our spinning and weaving tools, too! We have looms, spinning wheels, hand-crafted drop spindles, drum and hand carders and loads more, including Indian charkhas that we fine tune to spin perfectly for you.

Colorway of the Month!

June's colorway is Bands of Gold, German Chocolate Cake, golds, browns, pecan, carmel, chocolate colors. It's done as a 4oz braid of Wensleydale top and our very favorite laceweight merino, 440 yds/50 grams. The fiber is $15 and the lace yarn is $12.00 and one skein is enough for a lovely scarf. Enjoy!

What's New?

Lots more is arriving daily. We are almost to the point of overflowing, just in time for sping, which is on it's way sooner than we think:

• Cascade Ultra Pima in 53 colors... gorgeous shine, long-staple pima cotton, unbelievable drape... nuf said!
• Nashua Creative Focus Linen - a 50/50 blend of linen and cotton in a DK weight, just right for spring and summer tops, table runners and more. You'll want to come see the gorgeous sweater model!
• Louet Kidlin, in lots of nice colors for sweaters and shawls. Make the Cia sweater, a lightweight, elegant sweater with lace borders that can be worn dressed up or casualled down with tshirt and jeans. This one is a classic.
• Dream in Color - we've brought in Smooshy and Starry.. need I say more?
• Mini Mochi in all the colors. We can't get enough of this stuff!
• SWTC Phoenix, the popular soysilk tape yarn. We've brought in more colors and stocked back up on all the favorites.
• Araucania Ruca - a lovely sugar cane fiber that has beautiful drape and sheen. This is put up on 100gram skeins in lots of warm weather colors and it is a semi solid that has the most lovely, subtle variations.
• Colinette Jittterbug - image 20 of the most popular colors of this luscious stuff!
• Mirasol Nuna in all the colors... a beautiful merino, silk, bamboo yarn for sweaters, shawls and other pretties. There is a new pattern book just for it with some really nice sweater designs by Jane Ellison. What's not to love about her designs and fit?
• Jaggerspun Zephyr - a big surprise! Now we will have this luscious yarn for weavers and lace knitters in 50gram, 540 yard balls in 18 colors. Yes, you read this right!!
• Robincat Handdyed - this local indy spinner/dyer is now creating lovely hand dyed combos on the Jaggerspun Zephyr. Rich and inviting, you'll find this hard to pass up.
• Lots of Yarnorama Handpaints! I've been dyeing like crazy (though you'd barely know it some days, as quickly as this is flying out of the shop), and have been focusing on lace weight and our suri alpaca/merino blend yarn for the moment.

We've declared 2010 the Year of Colorwork... all kinds - fair isle, intarsia, striping, mosaic, you name it, we will do it. We all admire all the wonderful colorwork items we see, but it can be scary. So we will overcome our fears this year with fun patterns and lovely yarns that show off the patterns beautifully... like Louet Gems fingering. We have just gotten in 40 colors of this yarn, which will give you lots of color choices and options. This yarn makes wonderful socks, too!
