Playing with Graphics - Digital Download

Do you know how to ‘read’ your weaving? This deceptively simple shawl or table runner will point the way. Woven from tonal hand-dyed sock yarns in plain weave, you will build your ‘reading’ skills while playing with color and fibonacci. The threading makes for interesting graphics and provides lots of room for playing with different variations making yours a one-of-a-kind creation.

Level of Difficulty -Just Beyond Beginner

What’s Needed?

  • Rigid heddle loom with a 15” weaving width.
  • 10-dent reed
  • 2 shuttles
  • Fringe twister (optional)

Finished Size- 12-1/2” x 75”, plus fringe.

Yarn

Warp and Weft- FiberObsessions Pretty Kitty, 425 yds/100-gram skein in 2 contrasting colors. Make one Color A and the other Color B. Other fingering weight/sock yarns may be substituted that have similar drape and tonal dye effects. This project uses nearly all of both colors.
