Franklin Habit Workshop July 21 (half day, PM) - The Braided Lucet Rug
Sunday, July 21, 1pm - 4pm
The Braided Lucet Rug
The lucet is an ancient, easy-to-use, and deceptively versatile tool. In this class, we’ll learn to use one to make simple, handsome lucet cords with the sort of knitting yarns you likely have in your stash. But then we’ll take those cords and begin to turn them into beautiful, braided mats that–with a little practice and perseverance-become beautiful, braided rugs that brighten any room.
Workshop Fee: $65
Prerequisites: There is a materials fee of $10 to cover to cost of special materials, including a lucet, payable to the instructor. Students must be willing to work with sewing needle and thread.
Worsted-weight yarn in white or a light solid color, 1 ball.
Notebook and pen or pencil for taking notes
(Students may bring a lucet, but one will be provided by the instructor as part of materials fee.)
Box Lunches are available each workshop day here.
Workshop refund policy: Workshops will be refunded 100% through June 14th.
Cancellations after June 14th through July 8th will be refunded $100% less a $25 cancellation fee, IF we are able to fill the spot with someone else.
